Courtenay Birdsall Clifford was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska.  With two artists for parents, she got an early start in the arts and has played with various subject matters and mediums throughout the years. Now working primarily in watercolors, she finds unending inspiration in the Alaskan landscape and seeks to capture the soft textures and rich colors of nature.  She and her husband, along with their devoted hound dog, now live, work and play in Skagway.
