"The little island town of Petersburg, 'Alaska's Little Norway,' is a beautiful small fishing port bordered by the coastal mountains in the Inside Passage of Southeast Alaska.
A 26 year career as a fine art teaching at Petersburg High School has led me to the perfect retirement jobs- metal arts and commercial fishing. The place in which I live has provided me with unsurpassed inspiration for my work. With nature's beauty everywhere, I don't have to look far! My work is a reflection of my life experience and surroundings here in Southeast Alaska.
Heat, metal, shape, texture, and solitude- losing myself and finding forms. It is the process between nature and design that gives my artistic world clarity and order."
