Barbara Lavallee’s whimsical paintings depicting Alaskan life made her one of the most celebrated artists in the state. Her stylized imagery celebrates the joy and resilience of the Alaskan lifestyle. Her work is done in transparent watercolor and is typically against a solid white background.

"Blueberry Festival" is based off of Ketchikan's very own festival of the same name that happens every year during the first weekend in August. The blueberry crepe booth is always a local favorite.
